IFRAME
In
IFRAME widgets all code is completely isolated from site on which it is included and therefore it is more safe from any interference with your site styles, code and content, yet they are harder to style and adapt to your website needs.
SCRIPT
SCRIPT widgets are very easy to style and adapt to your site design, yet not all sites are allowed to add extra scripts. Widget will also inherit style (CSS) from your site, which in some cases is needed behaviour in some not.
Styling SCRIPT widgets
You can easily style SCRIPT widgets using
CSS and overriding relevant classes starting with .CryptoPanicWidget.
Notes
- If you have multiple
SCRIPTwidgets on the same page you need to add provided<script>tag only once. - Both widgets are super light, use simple DOM manipulation to build markup.
widgets.min.jsfile is only ~3kB (<1.5kB gzipped) andwidgets.cssis ~1kB.
