This situation in Russia seems to have forced the hands of both the US and European authorities to hasten their proposed regulation of cryptocurrency. Now, we are expecting regulations from the US and Europe within this week and the next.

it's probably somewhere in between and until we see what the regulation is it's hard to tell. regulation could lead to huge surge in retail getting into crypto. Retail don't care for securing their own crypto, they don't want to be responsible for their crypto i reckon 95% of consumers would be quite happy for a centralised organisation to keep it for them in most western countries.

bob19 In the US it's not hard to tell what they're planning unless you haven't been paying attention - they've been working on a CBDC, planning on taxing "wealthy" traders with over 10k volume (I can take $500 and trade 10k volume in a week and still have $500), and to do this we know you will need to ban/track currencies by and for the people with a digital ID to use the internet. It will be the same ID that proves you got a shot, and allows you to travel. So at best this will be a small step toward that, and at worst, an executive order to end freedom in the US.

bob19 When they redefine you as a lawbreaker like the Canadian protesters, and shut off your access to a CBDC you need to buy and sell BTC, and track all BTC transactions and blacklist those that have a bad social credit score like Joe Rogan, the only way to be a law abiding citizen is to be a slave and let them kill you.
